From a portrait to the skyline

How the hologram maker works in three steps

There is nothing to model, rig or light. The hologram maker takes two solo portraits and places both people in one finished scene.

  1. 01

    Pick who becomes the hologram

Put that person's portrait in the hologram slot. A clear, well-lit face with visible hair and clothing makes the projection easiest to recognise, even at ten times life size.

  2. 02

Add the person who looks up

The walkway slot takes a second solo portrait. This person stays human-sized and looks up at the hologram. Tap Swap roles if you change your mind.

  3. 03

    Make it and download it

Sign in with FloatPass and pay $5 once. A few minutes later the 12-second 16:9 MP4 is waiting in My creations, ready to download.

JPG, PNG or WebP, up to 10 MB per portrait. Both stay on this page for 30 minutes while you sign in or check out.

How big is giant

What the hologram maker builds from your photo

The second portrait does not become a sticker or a filter. It becomes a character that moves, looks and speaks inside a 12-second scene.

A projection the size of a building

Translucent and glowing
The portrait becomes a rose-pink, softly glowing figure with a lavender rim light and pink mist drifting around it.
About ten times life size
Its head and shoulders fill the left two-thirds of the frame, about ten times the size of the person on the walkway.
Guided by your portrait
The photo guides the hologram's face and clothing. The pose, the light and the camera come from the scene, so AI can still change small details.

A hologram that moves

It leans in
Across three shots the hologram slowly leans closer and holds a gentle gaze toward the person below, keeping a small gap between them.
It speaks two lines
Halfway through, the hologram says “You look lonely.” and then “I can fix that.” in an original voice. The person on the walkway stays silent.
It needs no hardware
There is no hologram fan, pyramid or projector involved: the hologram is in the video, so it plays on any phone, laptop or TV.
It stays in its light
The scene asks for the same rose-pink glow, lavender rim and soft shimmer through every shot, so the hologram reads as a projection rather than a pasted-in photo.

Bigger than life

Four ways to use the hologram maker

Each one takes two solo portraits and $5, and each starts with the studio at the top of this page.

  1. The giant hologram's face glowing in pink light
    01

    Make yourself the hologram

Upload your own portrait in the hologram slot and a friend's on the walkway, then send them the clip of you towering over the city and telling them they look lonely.

  2. A man on a misty walkway looks up at a glowing fingertip
    02

    A hologram of your partner

Cast your partner as the projection that leans down to you, and keep the 12-second scene for an anniversary, a birthday or a long-distance hello.

  3. A huge pink hologram hand above a railing in the mist
    03

A clip for your channel or stream

The 16:9 MP4 suits a YouTube intro, a stream break or a post on X. It has no music, so you can lay your own track under the hologram's two lines.

  4. The whole scene: a pink hologram woman leans toward a small figure on a walkway

Your take on the You Look Lonely meme

Put a friend on the walkway and yourself in the sky, and let the hologram deliver the meme's famous line in your face. The meme page has more ideas for this one.

Know what you get

Is this hologram maker right for you?

A quick check before you pay: what this hologram maker does well, and what it does not do at all.

Yes, if you want a person as the hologram
The hologram is always a real person from your photo, never a stock avatar or a text prompt, and always the second of two people in the scene.
Yes, if you want it finished
You get a finished 12-second video, not a project file to edit. The walkway, the light, the three shots and the sound are already done.
No, if you need a 3D model
It makes a regular MP4 with a hologram look. It does not export 3D files, looping fan videos or footage for a projector.
No, if you need another scene
There is one scene for now. You cannot change the city, the colours or the lines, and pets are not supported yet.

Hologram maker FAQs

Straight answers about the price, the photos, the wait and what the hologram maker can and cannot do, before you spend $5.

Read the photo guide
Is the hologram maker free?

No. Every video costs $5 (1,250 platform credits), paid once; there is no free tier and no subscription. Uploading the two portraits and arranging the roles costs nothing until you press the button.

How long does the hologram maker take?

A few minutes per video. The result is saved in My creations, so you can close the page and come back for it.

What photo works best in the hologram maker?

A solo portrait with a clear face and visible hair and clothing, in JPG, PNG or WebP up to 10 MB. Sunglasses, heavy filters and tiny avatars make the hologram harder to recognise.

Does the hologram maker keep my outfit and hairstyle?

It follows them. The portrait guides the hologram's face, hair and clothing, so what you wear in the photo is what the hologram wears, bathed in the scene's pink light.

Can the hologram maker make a hologram of one person on their own?

No. The scene always has two people: the hologram and the person on the walkway who looks up at it. Each needs a solo portrait, and you can use your own photo in either role.

Can the hologram maker turn a pet or an object into a hologram?

Not with this scene. It is designed and tested for two people; animal movement and anatomy need a separately tested template.

Does the hologram maker make a real 3D hologram?

No. It is a hologram look inside a regular 12-second 16:9 MP4, not a 3D model and not a file for a hologram fan, pyramid or projector.

What if the hologram comes out wrong?

If a generation fails on our side, its credits return to your balance automatically. If a finished video is clearly broken, write to contact@youlooklonely.com and we will look at it.

Can I make more than one hologram?

Yes. Each video costs another $5 (1,250 platform credits). Buy the credits again from the pricing section, swap in new portraits, and every finished video stays listed in My creations.

Do my portraits stay while I sign in?

Yes. Both portraits stay on this page for 30 minutes while you sign in or check out, and they are uploaded only after you sign in.

Who can see the hologram I make?

Only you, unless you share it. Videos are listed in your own My creations, the site has no public gallery, and files sit at unlisted links that open for anyone you send them to.

Do I need permission to turn someone into a hologram?

Yes. Pressing the button confirms that you have the right to use both portraits and that the people shown have agreed. The simplest choice is your own face in the hologram slot.
